Dear Island Woods Homeowners,
Here are a few happenings and not happenings in and around Island Woods.
Please plan on attending our Annual Homeowners' Board Meeting on January 17th, 2019 at 7:oo PM.
New Clubhouse Roof
The Clubhouse roof will be replaced November 26th-November 30th. Please avoid the area for safety purposes.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Hope you've noticed the beautiful holiday toppers on the bridge lights and the improved visual display at our entrances. Thank you to our Christmas Committee for their hard work! Shout out to Tami Bollay, Pat Keith, Helen Neybert, and Bill Jacobsen.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! Safe travels if you're heading out and if you're staying put, enjoy the time with family and friends. One of the things I love about Island Woods is the beautiful walks you can take with family (after all of that turkey!) right here in our own neighborhood.
Sarah Barker, Property Manager
You'll see the crew in and around Halloween morning. They should be done around Noon. Please alert the office if you see any irrigation issues after Oct. 31st.
Don't forget to get your sprinkler blow outs as well. It's time!
Multiple board members will be out of town this week and/or recovering from surgery, so the monthly board meeting will unfortunately need to be cancelled.
The deadline to replace nonfunctional pole lights in the front of residential houses has past. If homeowners have been unable to replace the lights because of sever maechanical failure (which would be very expensive to replace) there is some good news. We have discovered several different options of solar powered LED pole lights which can be used in place of hard wired lamps.
Due to equipment malfunction the irrigation schedule will be changed for the next couple weeks. This must be done in order to help maintain pressure on the system.
Property manager report for July
Thursday at 7:00, Board meeting at the club house
For the next two or three days we will be testing how the canals and ponds interact in Island Woods. Expect pond levels to drop temporarily and possibly for a testing dye to appear in some of the ponds. The dye is completely biodegradable and safe for wildlife.
Here is the property managers report for June 2018.
