Common Areas

The Island Woods community features a multitude of common areas on approximately 54 acres that are intersected by sidewalks and paths encompassing the neighborhood. Paths weave through mature landscaping along side creeks & ponds providing easy access to the Greenbelt and north fork of Boise River. Common areas also provide residents access to the south fork of the Boise River where one will find a beautiful backdrop for a day of picnicking or fishing. Out of respect for residents bordering the common area along the south fork of the Boise River activities are only permitted 9:00am to 9:00pm daily.

Island Woods' amenities (park, tennis/pickleball court, clubhouse and pool) can also be found in the common areas. Park hours are 9:00Am to 9:00Pm daily. Picnic tables in park can be reserved for parties. The reservation form can be found in form section of website. Reservation fee is $25 for first 4 hours and $50 for 5 hours or more. Access to clubhouse kitchen and bathrooms is included with reservation. Bocce ball court, playground or tennis court can not be reserved.

For information on any of the amenities hover cursor over the "Community" icon at top right of website page, and in the drop down menu click on the location for more details.

Catch and release fishing is available for residents and their guests 9:00am to 9:00pm daily at any one of Island Woods' 12 ponds. All ponds are surrounded by a common area, so there are plenty of oppurtunities to find the perfect spot for fishing or relaxing. All guests need to be accompanied by an Island Woods homeowner. Please remember to take all belongings and trash with you when you're done enjoying your time by a pond.
