Our swimming pool opening has been delayed this year. Due to a federal compliance issue we were just recently made aware of, we have had to delay our opening to allow for our pool to be brought up to code. Once this construction is completed, the pool will open! We're hoping by mid June to have a split drain installed for swimmers' safety . We will let you know as soon as we have the green light to open. Thank you for your understanding.

Happy New Year Island Woods!

As we begin this new year, we’d like to thank our Homeowners for helping to keep Island Woods a wonderful place to live. Thank you for being neighborly and watchful.

Join Us~ Our Annual Homeowners’ Meeting is Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 7:00 PM.

You still have time to turn in your Proxy. Put it in the slotted mailbox in front of the Clubhouse entrance.

Seasonal Considerations~

Do not feed the geese! Do not feed the geese on your property and certainly not on our Common Area. Geese will not suffer due to cold conditions. They’re wonderfully designed to migrate and survive. Besides, you don’t want to help contribute to all of the “stuff” that Geese leave behind😊

Sidewalks after a snow- It is a City of Eagle ordinance that all residents of homes remove the snow from their sidewalk as soon as possible, before it freezes.

Dogs- Leashes and POOP!

- All dogs must be leashed with a traditional leash; which is hand held by owner. No “virtual” leashes.

-Don’t be THAT NEIGHBOR who is not picking up after your dog. Another thought is….If you’re letting your dog out without attending to them in the front yard or if your back yard is not fenced, your dog could be running down to the neighbors yard and pooping without you even knowing. We’ve received multiple complaints lately! Double-check and SCOOP the POOP!

Interest Groups Forming!

If you have expertise and/or interest, please consider finding out more about the following:

Pond Health: fish, water, banks

Maintenance: Painting, stone repair, etc.

Welcome/Social: New homeowners welcome, social events, etc.

Contact Sarah Barker at 208.971.5055 or email: propertymanager@islandwoodseagle.com

New to Island Woods? Join us at the Clubhouse to meet fellow neighbors. New homeowners in the last year will receive an invitation, but if you’d still like to be considered “new,” you should drop in too! More details to follow next month.

Welcome Event: February 28, 2019 at 6.00-7.30 PM.

As always, please be the “eyes and ears’ of the neighborhood and let Sarah know of any issues.

Respectfully,

Island Woods HOA Board and Property Manager

Dear Island Woods Homeowners,

Here are a few happenings and not happenings in and around Island Woods.

Board Meetings

Please plan on attending our Annual Homeowners' Board Meeting on January 17th, 2019 at 7:oo PM.

New Clubhouse Roof

The Clubhouse roof will be replaced November 26th-November 30th. Please avoid the area for safety purposes.

Christmas Time

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Hope you've noticed the beautiful holiday toppers on the bridge lights and the improved visual display at our entrances. Thank you to our Christmas Committee for their hard work! Shout out to Tami Bollay, Pat Keith, Helen Neybert, and Bill Jacobsen.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! Safe travels if you're heading out and if you're staying put, enjoy the time with family and friends. One of the things I love about Island Woods is the beautiful walks you can take with family (after all of that turkey!) right here in our own neighborhood.

Thank you,

Sarah Barker, Property Manager

You'll see the crew in and around Halloween morning. They should be done around Noon. Please alert the office if you see any irrigation issues after Oct. 31st.

Don't forget to get your sprinkler blow outs as well. It's time!
